Digital solutions can be cost effective says Public Sector Show 2018 exhibitor

Public sector digital transformation ventures do not need to be as complex and expensive as some people think, according to mpro5.

Toby Hawkins, Sales & Marketing Director for the highly configurable, flexible and powerful workflow management system – says the rise in cloud-based SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions, provides organisations in the private and public sector with, “the freedom to deploy incremental IT projects at a fraction of the cost and time of their predecessors.”

Hawkins was speaking ahead of the Public Sector Show 2018 at the ExCel in London on 26th June, where mpro5 will be among 150 exhibitors. The UK’s leading public sector event features 140 free seminars and a wealth of resources and information for those looking to deliver smarter, more efficient services in the sector.

mpro5 itself is used globally in a wide range of industries including facilities management, logistics and healthcare and Local Government. It can be used to provide organisations in both the public and private sector to efficiently manage their mobile workforce and assets, combining an app for your users out in the field to complete their jobs and a secure and powerful, cloud-based website for job scheduling and reporting.

Hampshire County Council is one local authority to benefit from mpro5, using it to move towards becoming a paperless organisation. As well as saving time and money, Hawkins says other benefits of using cloud-based SaaS for public sector digital transformation ventures include the fact that the risk is minimal.

“Due to subscription payment models, it is possible with some SaaS models to turn off the tap marked ‘cost’ if apps or the technology do not function correctly – resulting in minimal financial risk being incurred,” he said.

“They also have the added advantage that no large upfront capital investment is needed and that the overall cost can be assigned as an OPEX.

“SaaS solutions can also be deployed much faster than custom-built applications and often include on-going technical support as part of their subscription fee – essentially meaning that the solution provider’s IT team becomes an extension of your own.”

The Public Sector Show is free to attend for public sector workers. Visit mpro5 at stand G25 for interviews, demonstrations and more case studies of how mpro5 can help public sector organisations.
